Description: A blend of local native varietals inspired by a century-old blend. This red Sicilian wine is produced with Nerello Mascalese as a principal grape, with the common addition of Nerello Cappuccio and Nocera. The wines produced in the region are typically intense, with dominating notes of ripe red fruit that occasionally develop into subtle aromas of spices, vanilla, and wood.
Tasting Note: Intense ruby red tending to garnet with aging. Ethereal scent with notes of ripe fruit, spicy, mineral. In fine and elegant complex with pleasantly tannic, harmonious, good persistence and intensity.
Food Pairing: Faro wines pair well with roasted or braised meat, mushrooms, casseroles, rich meat ragùs and aged cheese such as Ragusano or Pecorino Siciliano
